What is Hypnotherapy?

What to Expect
The initial consultation is relaxed and informal. We will discuss what you would like to get out of the hypnotherapy sessions and you can find out more about how hypnotherapy works and how it can help you. You will be given an overview of the workings of the mind, to help you understand how sometimes we can feel that areas of our life are out of our control.
Many people start to feel better from the initial consultation. It can be a relief to have an explanation of how your mind works and what you can do to make positive changes. If you decide to have more sessions, we will discuss a treatment programme and you will also receive a free CD to listen to at home, so that you can start to make progress straight away.
The structure of the session and the techniques used will depend on your needs and will be a mixture of psychotherapy and hypnosis. Sessions are enjoyable, relaxed and focused on making positive changes.
The number and frequency of sessions that you will have depends entirely on your needs. Your treatment programme will be tailored to suit you. As a guide, anxiety and depression may require 8-10 sessions, phobias as few as 4 sessions and smoking cessation is a one off session of 2 hours. This varies depending on your condition and will be discussed at your initial consultation.

During the consultation we will discuss what you would like to get out of the hypnotherapy sessions and how it can help you. The consultation will also give you an idea of the number of sessions required and you will receive a free hypnotherapy CD.
Standard Sessions 50 minutes - 1 hour – £65
These sessions follow a format of discussion and hypnosis and focus on positive change.

Ongoing Treatment Plan
Block of 3 or more hypnotherapy sessions £60 per session
